Design & Cost Engineer

Job description

  • Review bid documents and identify conflicts or missing details.

  • Generate Bill of Materials (BoM) and request material prices.

  • Coordinate manloading and schedules with relevant departments.

  • Prepare cost estimates and proposal documents, including cost summaries.

  • Present cost proposals for approval and provide budgeted costs to the Cost Control Group.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.

  • At least 3 years in design and cost estimation for industrial projects.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Planswift, MS Office, and costing software.

  • Strong communication and technical skills.

  • Knowledgeable in local and international codes and standards (e.g., Fire Protection, Piping, Structural).

  • Blueprint reading, drafting, and material specifications.

  • Proficiency in MS Project/MS Excel for reports and data analysis.

  • Effective communication, time management, and multitasking under deadlines.
