Safety Manager

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in the construction industry

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices

  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety programs and initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address safety concerns

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels

  • Proficiency in using safety-related software and data analysis tools

Job Description:

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures and training programs to create a culture of safety awareness and compliance

  • Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards

  • Investigating incidents and accidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

  • Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors and workers to promote safe work practices

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and standards

  • Maintaining detailed records and preparing reports on safety performance metrics

  • Providing safety-related training and coaching to employees at all levels
